BIOGRAPHY
Born 1979 into a family of artists, Blue Starseed aka Meredith Rose grew up in Philadelphia and a remote island in Maine, USA. She received her BFA in Painting from Rhode Island School of Design and completed their European Honors Program in Rome. She also studied at Edinburgh College of Art, Scotland.

Figure Drawing classes began for Blue Starseed when she was 16 years old at Moore College of Art, Philadelphia. She has created and lead Open Life Drawing groups that met weekly in Durango, Colorado for three years, and now bi-monthly (for several years) in Crestone, Colorado, USA.
Blue Starseed exhibits in wilderness, and once in awhile in a box or "building" to redefine what a solo exhibition really is.
Visionary experiences, truth, and outerspace influence Blue Starseed's figurative paintings. Expressive figures that she creates are painted from live models and incorporated into her memories of past and future lifetimes. Her recent work focuses on self portraits of parallel lives. She paints on hemp linen for environmental reasons. Besides in nature, she has exhibited in galleries such as A Gallery, Santa Fe, New Mexico, San Juan College, New Mexico, the Shumei International Institute, Colorado, and the Centro Cultural, Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, Mexico. Blue Starseed currently lives in southern Colorado, USA.
